Frequently  Asked Questions..

How do you pay for the bracelets, supplies and postage?
We accept donations for them if people would like to contribute.

Can you expedite my order?  I'll pay for the faster shipping.
A Complaint Free World is staffed 100% by volunteers and we have had to set a policy of only handling requests in the order they are received.  To us, everyone is equally important and we don't feel it's fair to those who can't pay for expedited shipping to have to be pushed back in priority as we expedite shipping for those who can pay.  Our policy is, "first requested, first shipped."

How long will it take to get my bracelets?
Currently, it's taking us about 10-12 weeks to get them made, packaged and shipped.  It may not take that long and it may take a little longer..  Please mark your calendar for 12 weeks from today, if you've not received them by then, please contact us. Thanks for your patience (and for not complaining).

How did this whole thing get started?
Rev. Will Bowen of Christ Church Unity in Kansas City, MO was teaching a series on Prosperity.  Part of this series was helping the congregation to form a habit of gratitude by going 21-days without complaining.  In an effort to make the lesson practical, the church purchased purple bracelets and gave them away encouraging them to move the bracelet to the other arm if they caught themselves complaining.

How do I know if I'm complaining?
To "Complain" is defined as "to express pain, grief, or discontent."  Surely, it makes sense to express pain, grief or discontent occasionally but most people do so constantly.  In so doing, they are talking and thinking about what they do not want in their life and, thereby, attracting more pain, grief and discontent.  Instead, think and talk about what you are grateful for.  Talk about what you DO want and not what you DON'T want.

Your church must be HUGE to do something like this. Is it?
Actually, no.  We're modest-sized.  We average just over 275 per week in attendance.  But this just shows that one small church or one individual church can transform the world.

Are the donations covering the costs?
Yes, the challenge we have is that with stories about us on NBC's "Today Show," "People" magazine and the "Oprah Winfrey Show," requests are coming in so fast.  And we have to pay for the bracelets, postage and supplies upfront.  We include an envelope for anyone wishes to donate when we ship the bracelets out.  However, if people donate when they order them, this helps us have the funds to keep moving forward easier --rather than having to wait on the donations to come in. But  don't feel that you must give.  This is our gift to the world.  This is not about raising money, it's about raising consciousness.  The money will take care of itself.

Can I volunteer to help?
Yes, if you live near Kansas City, we would love your assistance.  Please send an email to our coordinator tealyea@yahoo.com.  We've not figured out a way for people who don't live near Kansas City to help other than by doing the most important thing any person can do:
pray.  If you're comfortable with prayer, hold us in your prayers.
